“You’re not welcome here.”

---

A strand from my hair floats idly on the wind-

Twisting and bending as a dancer would.

I somehow yearn for a dirge from a violin-

Simple wishes from ‘neath a child’s hood.

---

The sea brings gossip from the distant deep-

Sirens have claimed a silver ship today.

I stand, an ivory statue refusing to weep-

Some tears were never meant to stray.

---

“Go back whence ye came.”

---

A kiss from a blade is sweeter than yours-

Yet the ends shall remain the same forever.

Perhaps my soul can latch to the silent shore-

Tossed in a circle Time hasn’t the power to sever.

---

The clouds look menacing this morning-

I reckon you’ve come to banish me forth.

You naïvely believe in clipping my wings-

But the lights still glow dully in the north.

---

“I’m sorry."

---

As am I.

---

Time is a tricky thing to trust, hate can quickly turn to lust-

But as ashes to ashes, dust to dust, we are but human… fade we must.

Thanks for the suggestions!
