This is inspired by my maths teacher, who is a most interesting
individual with many a fascinating story.
Palisade
Back myself into a corner and shield me with my bag.
Put up walls of stationery like its all I ever had.
Build a fortress with my folders, keep everybody out.
I refuse to listen to those CHILDREN scream and shout!
"Grow UP! GROW UP" I tell them every time,
But they just grin and snicker and parrot back my line.
The say no (wo)man is an island, but in my case that's not true,
I'm in a sea of sixteen and I feel thirty two.
This behaviour is just another defence mechanism of mine, along with
wearing totally covering clothes.
