In Your Eyes

In your eyes I see my destiny
Bursting forth in all radiance
Thinking about you and me
And how we were meant to be

I sigh at your heavenly sight
The sight of which leaves me weak
It leaves my throat tight
And takes away my might

Why can’t we be together?
What don’t you see in me?
You just treat me as a brother
Was it meant to be?

I sit awake at night,
Contemplating you and I,
How I should be your knight,
Instead of just a little fly

Sometimes I feel invisible,
Watching you from afar,
Love is unbelievable,
Unless you’re the one left out

I pray to God
“Why me Lord?
Am I not good,
Good enough for her?”

I sometimes think,
Whether I lack something,
Or whether she’s just good,
Too good for me

I gaze from afar,
Jealousy rips my heart,
Your smile so inviting,
Yet not for me, not for me…………
