In Toffe's sometimes fevered dreams it was becoming evident that her mind wasn't fully willing to relinquish all of its memories to the ancient Tarta spell cast upon her not to long ago. Small snippets of the past spilled over the huge walls closing away her memories, giving her glimpses of her past as she slumbered. One such memory came to her in a series of dreams as it dragged its long serpentine body over the wall. They were ones of another Tarta, one Toffe assumed by the feelings that came with it, that she had once loved.

It was obvious by his appearance that he wasn't family, nor even fully Tarta. With wild black calicoed hair, goatee, and tail, ears more pointed then most, and slit pupil amber eyes, he was obviously some mutt. Despite al his irregularities, he had a winning smile and a graceful air that overshadowed his strange features in Toffe's eyes.

Most of her memories came from the perspective of a distance, most likely because of Toffe's terrible shyness. She was probably sitting in some tree, watching him as he played his flute, trained, and once bathed! The quickness of that memory and the terrible embarrassment she felt told her that that memory was an accident.

She kept the knowledge of these dreams from her friends and colleagues because there was not enough returning or anything vital in those that have. The memory of this boy though made Toffe seek sleep hoping his image would return again. A name would be nice to get, then she could ask around about him, but she couldn't remember it or if she even knew it to begin with!

Then one fateful night the wondrous happened. In one of her most vivid dreams ever, he spoke to her.

With his winning smile brandished upon his face he offered his hand down to Toffe. She was on her butt on the ground, maybe she had fallen from her normal spying place. She took his offered hand and he pulled her from the ground, they stood just about eye to eye, the boy a bit taller then she. Shaking the hand he still held, he introduced himself to her.

"Hello.. My name is Ace."

Toffe's heart fluttered with her eyelids as she woke from her dream.

'Ace.. I will do all in my power to remember you and find you again.' she swore to herself before getting up to prepare for another day's adventure.
