Field kissed,

With fading orange light.

So warm and inviting,

Before my eyes.

Amidst this field stands a maiden fair.

Buttercups woven in her flowing dark hair.

Her eyes of walnut shine so bright.

Mirror hopes and dreams,

Similar to mine.

She shares my compassion, my concerns.

Listens without judgement.

Always first to console.

My respect for nature,

She holds inside.

She is sweet and caring.

My kindred spirit.

I will cherish her for the rest of my life.

And never regret it.

She lends me her strength,

When mine has fled.

Wipes away my tears with gentle hands.

I love her and will to the end.

Sisters not in blood,

But in spirit.
