Your silence is comforting,

Yet now,

I’ve thought of leaving,

Because of all the pain and hurt,

Can you feel it too?

The one standing before me,

With an expression like my own,

Is your world like mine?

Or is it filled with sunshine and daisies,

Emerald clovers,

Jeweled flowers,

Fresh, crystal waters,

Maybe even rainbows,

Love replacing the pot of gold,

You are my angel,

Slowly lifting my spirits,

As I discover that I’m like you,

Exactly from soul to skin,
