Does this girl in the mirror

really blink, sleep, disappear when I

look away?

Maybe she's

been staring at me for all these years, and I

am unresponsive, and she cries for help

in my black-butter sleep, from the Jaberwocky.

(who does come whiffling, lurking

slithy behind the mirror-frame.)

I have never

stepped into my wardrobe, looking for Narnia; I

will not tap on the third brick up

Behind a shabby pub.

i pray for nothing, 'cos

miracles are an ordinary occurance, but my dreams

Are all extraordinary.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe,'

said the doormouse to the Cauldron Cake

before he ate it, and quite gave up on treacle.

.

And the girl in the mirror sinks down in her silver chair, in tears again.

A/N: In case you didn't notice...I 'borrowed' an entire verse of 'Jabberwocky,'

as well as several of Lewis Carrol's invented words/monsters from the same.

And, yes: I am a little bit insane.
