The window
The window pane shattered,
And the monster came in
He took away my sanity,
My skin blistered in his heat
At first I tried to hide,
Hide away from the flame,
And run away from him
He took me in his sweltering embrace,
Showed me what it was to feel
To feel the pain that filled his tattered soul
He studied my hair, my lips, my eyes,
He kissed me with his fiery lips
And I gave in
Away he took me, away we went
Running away from this life of sin
This world for I was not meant
Always in his embrace
Looking into his dark face
This angel of darkness
When the sun turned black and burned my skin,
He was my shade
When the sky fell and crushed me
He was my shelter
When the rain fell
And filled my lungs
He was my oxygen
When I had to leave this monster
I cried until there were tears no more
And my fragile heart so sore
I fell into another's arms
Told him not to take revenge
And I walked away un-singed
I'll never see that monster again
I'm not sure what I want
The window has closed again
He is no more
Though he was all I longed for
-- The fragile demon
