Never said

They never said it was a crime
And switched opinions on a dime
I couldn't run this time
Failure is the hardest thing I've known
He told me that it was alright
But I think of him most every night
Gone because of some dumb fight
And I spent this year alone
We never cared what others thought
Our souls and bodies could be bought
Somehow we were never caught
But now I'm going home.
His words I knew all were lies
But neither of us ever cries
And both of us know not to try
We don't really mind
I know my gods will protect me
Still I only wish to see
His face in a place we could be
Free from chains that bind
A poison ring on a silver chain
Cannot save me from this pain
We have nothing left to gain
For there is nothing here to find.

a/n: ok, I have no idea where that came form. R and R, please don't flame.
