Something Amiss
Author:
Matthew James Current PM
More of an experiment than a legitamate poem or even a song. Just trying something new. The first stanza I really like, but I kind of built the rest around it.

Why do I even try not to cry inside
When all I know is that I need to let go
And let the pain fly free out of me

I'm flailing and failing and sailing
Into Oblivion

Today I want to find myself inside you
I want to tear through this world of blue

Looking around me all that I see
Is ashes and crashes of tattered
Humanity

Blinded by the haze of this painful maze
They call it earth and I just want to raze
It all

With all of this Emptiness something just seems
Amiss

Maybe one day I will be able to say
That I never lost myself along the way
And I will be able to finally
Carry on.
