Like A Ghost

 

 

Like a ghost you haunt my dreams,

You’re always there, though not always seen,

You’re always smiling in my direction,

You’re always looking, glance at my reflection.

 

I walk past you, my head held so high,

You look me in both eyes, I sigh my inaudible sigh,

And suddenly you wrap your arms around me,

And my heart jumps, for you can finally see!

 

This could be love, I feel it in my heart,

This could be us, right from the start,

You and me, finally we’re together,

Me and you, from now, to forever.

 

We walk along the beach, hand in hand,

Walkin’ on Cloud 9, though my toes in the sand,

We stop, and you turn to me and smile,

Finally, after all this time, life’s worthwhile.

 

You lean in, and place your soft, soft lips on mine,

I close my eyes and kiss you back, this day so fine,

And we seal our love with a kiss this night,

A love that will forever, feel, so right.
