From Deep Within

From deep within

You have a guide

A guide that leads you from birth

Though you know not what it is

It is there,

It is your element

Earth…you are our foundation

A pillar of stone, people lean on you

Sometimes cold and distant, you do what is needed

At times things are hard but without you there is nothing

At first there was nothing

And then there was you

Night…you are fear

Everyone fears you without reason

Creative and intriguing, fear is not enough to stop the wonder

Captivating and unorthodox, you cloak both acts of good and evil

You sing a song,

Come to me, the times come to play here among the enchantment

Water…you cleanse our world

Soft and serene, you can give life

Turbulent, you can take it away

Hidden below are treasures you keep

Some things gone now and forever

Keys to our past we may never know

Fire…you burn a way into our hearts

Consuming and aggressive, you never give up
Dangerous and violent, once seen you are never forgotten
There is a light inside, no one can understand

A leader into battle or just in life

You show only what you want seen

Air…you have no boundaries

Light-hearted and care-free, a gentle breeze on a summer’s day

Wild and forceful, that of a storm

You have a path to follow

But can turn at the tip of a hat

We go where the wind takes us

Light…you are our salvation

Soothing, a warm presence in the back of our minds

Wise, always looked to as a guide

Without you we are nothing

You help us to live

You give us hope

Yes this is me through my time

This is you through all strife

And we are us depending on each other

Until the curtain draws a close

The last candle blown out

From deep within.
