DYING

A Poem
by Newly Human

Disclaimer: All mine.

Author's Note: Thanks for all the reviews I got for my first story "Unrequited". I'd never published anything before that and I'm just glad that you guys liked it. This piece is something I wrote during darker days. Feedback is always greatly appreciated. -- Newly Human

Cross my heart
And hope to die
Kill me now
Before I cry
Unleash the rain
Scream to the sky
Stab my chest
Don't even try
To stop the blood
That bleeds through my
Deepest darkest
Soul and I...

Want to be
As I was before
Lying here
On this cold hard floor
I'm just me
Don't ask for more
To believe
To start the gore
To decieve
To close that door
Listen close
And hear my roar...

If i die
Before I wake
Don't mourn for me
Not for my sake
My smiling days
My life is fake
My secret ways
It takes the cake
All I am
All that I make
I leave to you
I'll let you take

You couldn't hear
You didn't see
You'll never know
What is it to be me
I never learnt
And paid the fee
I never lived
I'll never be
Now I can
Now I'm free
Happy and
Eternily
