Heart house.
This house is empty, for I am gone.
The door is locked, and the curtains are drawn.
I'm moving on. I've left this place.
I'm trying hard to forget your face.
I'll try to forget how you made me feel.
I try to pretend these emotions weren't real.
I'm leaving this place of broken dreams.
I loved you once. How strange it seems.
With your fiery spirit you managed to start
A burning flame inside my heart,
But the smoke has cleared, and now I see
That you are not the one for me.
All that we have is a treasure of the past.
I'm leaving it behind, running fast.
I'm putting behind all the pain and strife,
And embarking upon a new path of life.
There was a home in my heart for us to share,
But now it's empty. There's no one there,
But under the mat I've left the key
Should you decide to return to me.
