Standing all alone on a lonely street corner,
Harsh wind blowing through dark hair,
Watching the people passing by.
They don't notice the girl standing in the way,
To her they have nothing to say,
Her eyes follow their empty souls,
Hoping to find one of truth, but to no avail.
Yet, still she waits as tears spill from her eyes
With a transparent hand she wipes the tears away.
So invisible in this world of hate,
Forgotten by all,
Her pleas to be loved, protected, remembered
Destined to fade away,
On a lonely street corner.
