Censorship In Music

Since the mid 1950s rock and roll bashing has remained a favorite activity of the church, the government and overprotective parents. In the dictionary, censorship is defined as," The review of publications, plays, and the like purpose of prohibiting the publication, distribution or production of material deemed as objectionable, obscene, indecent, or immoral." The fact is that society wants something to blame for all the piece of shit people it's spitting out. Like, ohhhhh, that's why your daughter Lisa became a Satanist. She listens to AC/DC, and they must be Satanists, because they wrote the song Highway To Hell.
Get the church, a few parents, a psychologist and the government and you have the perfect formula for a group of censoring assholes. Why the hell are we blaming music for discouraged children? Maybe it's the schools, industry, war, the government, the church and the whole system that are discouraging us.
In 1985, Tipper Gore and Susan Baker formed the Parents Music Resource Center, or the PMRC. The offices for the PMRC were donated by Coors beer. Sue is trying to connect music videos and porn, because, well, we all know how much songs like Janie's Got A Gun involve porn. Besides being endorsed by Coors, they also received funding from American Airlines, Marriot Corp., Orryland Hotel, and Merrill Lynch. On top of all of their corporate backing, they have vocal backing from Smokey Robinson and Paul McCartney. Apparently Paul is still living under the illusion that we wanna hold hands, dance in circles and drop acid. Paul is a good musician and I would have thought that he'd realize that PMRC is a threat to music.
These are the people who tell you what you can and can't listen to. When I last checked, the first amendment stated that we had freedom of speech. Secondly, the government isn't supposed to be able to make any laws abridging this freedom. Would someone mind telling me what the hell censorship is?
