I've Never Seen The Colour Blue
by Suze LeFey/Suzette/Surzy

When all the world was black and white
and all that lived were pain and strife,
I jumped within the hole that lived,
so far from home, the coldest knife.

I plunged within the nighttime grasp,
a cold arctic freeze from the below,
and soon I felt as if time had stopped,
and the world was wrapped in snow.

I turned my head to face the heavens high,
and smiled greatly towards the nightly sky.
From there, within the hands of Orion,
was the smiling face of someone who made me cry.

And though I felt as if I had to prove,
myself so worth in your presence, your face,
I did not cry, and did not mourn,
because I think it was our parting that was our fate.

With the last note I left on your machine,
I left the copies of those keys on your bed,
and left for home, the only place so safe,
without my painful thought of hurting your heart that bled.

I held your heart within my hand and saw your pain,
I wish I hadn't hurt you then,
but sometimes I make mistakes, and we're all the same.
But now I fear this is more than a broken heart will send.

But I am proud of this removal,
and I wish for you the best,
while I fly towards the skylights,
and your heart finally heals through rest.

I let you go and let you free,
so you could fly towards the night sky,
and imprint your face into the stars,
I let you go, and said goodbye

A/N: It's an old poem, meant for an old 'fling'. And yes, one year is old.
