"Final Bow"

You played me a song
That was rich in enchantment
And full of beauty

A smooth melody
Drizzled with inspiration
And honey-sweet tones

It was a song
Meant for the voices of stars
To sing on clear nights

But the final notes
Faded away to silence
A dark, deep silence

Although I mourn the
Loss of such beauty, I'll bask
In its memory

So I throw to you
A tear-stained rose as you now
Take your final bow

Author's Note: I wrote this after learning that PainKiller has decided to leave FictionPress. I guess it's just my way of saying good-bye. So, good-bye, dear friend.
