Artistic Reality
Sometimes I wonder
If this art we create
Through the extension of our mind
Isn't a vision from a dream
While we soundly sleep
And it isn't really Art
But an interpretation of reality
One that we've only seen
While our boundaries are unrestricted
By the fences we've set
Upon this pseudo reality
That we live within
I wonder if art
Is just our dreams
Contorted through lines
Into a masterpiece of words
Stretched into the missing boundaries
Of our ever flowing imagination
That helps us overcome
This reality
Something only children can use
So unrestricted
Only they can see
The real reality
Unbiased by our narrowed views
What draws people to art
I do not know
But I know
Art is a glimpse
Of our true reality
That we've made into
A legacy of dreams
Where everything starts
And visions end
