Well I’ve laughed

I’ve cried

I’ve loved

and I’ve lied

but nothing has compared

to falling in love.

Or at least

 I thought it was love.

It felt so fine,

so fresh,

so free

to think that I had

someone to love.

But maybe it was

just all a mirage

or maybe it was all

the truth of the matter

in any case need be

my favorite moment

was or will be

falling in love.
