Tears, salty water droplets.
Several trickled down her face,
Gliding down her cheeks,
Running their slow, steady pace.

He laughed at her,
Told her she was mad;
No one sane would cry all day long.
He made her feel so bad.

He knew nothing of what else went on,
Nothing of why she cried.
But he pushed her too far,
And he never knew that to him she lied.

He wrecked her; he killed her,
Although only inside,
She was forced to live like a robot,
But her true self she still had to hide.

That day she felt like nothing.
She decided that she'd had enough,
Didn't think anyone understood,
And everything was getting too tough.

On a chair she stood, hand on a noose,
She tried to stop herself; she really tried.
Put her head in the loop, took a deep breath.
Kicked over the chair and painfully died.
