The car, motion materialized, was a glorious, seductive black. It purred down the dingy street like a black silk scarf wrapping around grey wool until the blackness of the car was all that existed in the alley-way. A machine seemed ready to take flight, championed by a dazzlingly gold eagle. The ornament glinted in the sunlight, a flash in its eye as if it had seen its prey. The eagle bursting into flight off the ebony hood enchanted the machine with a god-like elegance.

On the side of the street, befriended by the wash of sunlight around him, a young man watched the regal car. There was a boyish goodness about this youth, whose hair was a pale and as curly as a lamb's coat. Something simplistic and sweet breathed from the long white shirt he wore, which held a soothing purity next to the green jacket the flowed over his lean chest. His name was Gabriel and he smiled as the car neared, bestowing upon the machine the same bright smile he gave to all things.

The boy stepped back when the car slithered to a slow stop before him, rumbling, deep and mysterious. His clear brown eyes peered more curiously at the jetty black machine which seemed to be protected by the darkness of the night. The drape of night suddenly abandoned the windows and the tinted glass was caught by the sun and turned a dazzling white. Gabriel was blinded by this rejection of the sunlight and lifted a hand to shield his eyes.

The young man lowered his hands from his eyes when he heard the click of the door opening. Orange and red splattered into his view, as his aching eyes remembered the dazzling light. He saw the diamond of sunlight bounce off the silver as the hand cuff grasped his wrist. The young man had time to gasp before a strong hand captured his waist. He fell into the car.
