~*~*~*~*~*~*: Dangerous Sacrifice : *~*~*~*~*~*~

Sara Riley looked at her watch that read three A.M, her day started at six A.M and her day still wasn’t over. Sara was an US custom agent, her and the rest of her team were waiting for the signal to take down an international arms dealer that they’ve been chasing for the last couple of months. Now they finally had enough on him to nail him to the ground.

Sara was dressed all in black with a bullet proof vest and a gun on her ankle, arm, and a riffle looped around her chest. A helmet with a night vision light on top of it, everyone around her was dressed the same. They were in a jet black armor van, it was hot outside and even hotter inside with the proper safety outfit. Sara was pissed, they got in the van about five hours ago, what the hell was taking so long? She never had patience, that made her a good agent and a bad one at the same time. She was great at taking down bad guys but the wait, that was another thing.

She looked around and saw the man running the team, Parker Lowell, he was an older man in his late fifties but he was still one of the best anyone has ever seen. Sitting in front of her was Tyler Neil, he was around her age.(Twenty-seven) They dated awhile back but it didn’t work out and never would have, they were too much the same, being friends was better for the both of them. There was eight more agents in the large van, some Sara knew and others she knew just by face.

They were waiting for James Marcello to arrive at his mansion, where the team of agents were parked across the street. He was suppose to be there an hour ago, some thought he fled, caught on that cops were on his tail but they got word that wasn’t the case by the agent following him, he should arrive soon. Now would be great, Sara thought.

Her wish was granted, Lowell was getting word off the radio.

“ Get ready.” he told his team as he checked his guns.

“ Finally.” Sara said sighing.

“ Riley, rushing is only going to get you killed one day.” Lowell said to her.

“ I know sir.” Sara said, and she didn’t care.

The van grew very quite to hear the car pulling up across the street, the car doors opened and closed, there was some talking but no one in the van could make it out. Lowell got word Marcello was inside and guards were by his side and weren’t quite sure how many were inside, Marcello had many death threats on his life.

“ Alright. Move out, carefully and slowly and remember if anyone gets in your way, your life is in your hands, shoot to kill. No one in that house will hesitate to kill you.” Lowell explained to them. “ The job is get Marcello alive. Now go.” Lowell said and everyone started moving out.

The streets were empty, no one was around. The team in black blended into the night. The agents swarmed into the house, the top computer wiz at headquarters cut the security system once Marcello and his men were inside.

Everyone went a different way, all told to find Marcello and get him out of here in cuffs. Sara walked along the oversized living room that had paintings along the walls, very pricey stuff. The lights were dim, no one seemed to be around. She heard the floor creak a couple of feet behind her, she hid behind a large statue that was right next to her and waited to the nose maker.

Sra waited and realized that something was over looked, as she stared at the paintings she realized a camera was set up in it. “ Fuck, they know we’re here.” she said to her self, that took the advantage of surprise away from them. She radioed Lowell and told him what she found. Just as she finished explaining to him what was going on, the whole house flooded with men with at least two guns each.

Bullets started flying, Sara ducked behind the sofa and shot the man at the other side of the sofa. She heard Lowell screaming in her ear and as well in the other agents ears. “ Don’t let Marcello get away!”

That meant a couple of things to Sara Riley, one; a lot of killing was going to be happening. Second; the night was going to get even longer. And third; the paper work was going to be hell.

It could never be simple, Sara thought as she continued to fire her riffle.

“ Son of a bitch.” Sara said as the bullet passed her face, that was too close and pissed her off even more, more shots were fired. Three men hit the floor. She stood, bodies all around, she killed some and the agent she barely knew killed others.

“ Where the hell is Marcello?” Sara asked the agent in front of her. The agent was a woman older then Sara, the only other woman on that team.

“ I don’t know, this is a fucking blood bath.” The woman said. “ Let’s head upstairs.” The woman said.

As they reached the top, Lowell had Marcello cuffed and the other agents followed him down. A couple of Marcello’s men were alive but badly injured.

Ambulances flooded the streets as the team got back into the van. Lowell was riding with Marcello in another van.

_

Sara finally reached home about two more hours later. Every bone in her body hurt and her head was throbbing, it was all part of the job. She went straight to the bathroom and took a long bath.

Once she was done, she put on her blue nightgown and tied her brown hair with some blonde highlights into a pony tail and laid down in her bed that her body was crying out for.

A day on her job was long and hard but not always this bad and long. She quickly fell asleep to only be woken up by the phone ringing, four hours later.

“ What?” Sara asked as she sat up in bed. Fours hours helped but she wanted more.

“ Morning to you too sunshine.” Said Sara’s commander, Sharon Bristow. “ I know you had a long night and I hate to do this but we have a new job for you.” she explained. She and Sara weren’t just co-workers, they were great friends and sometimes Sharon treated Sara like her daughter, she was older enough to be her mother.

“ Another job?” Sara questioned. “ So soon?”

“ I know, it’s a bitch but that’s how the job is. You never know where you’re needed again.” Sharon said. “ I know you just got off the Marcello case but there’s no one else we can use for this case, it’s undercover work and you fit the profile we need.” she explained.

“ Undercover? I haven’t done that in awhile.” Sara pointed out as she stood from her bed and headed downstairs with the cordless phone.

“ This won’t be too hard, you’ve been to high school.” Sharon simply said.

Sara stopped in her tracks as she reached the living room. “ High school? Oh god what kind of mess are you getting me into?” she asked.

“ You’ve just been transferred to Bellbrook high school. You just turned twenty and you want to finally finish high school, for that you have to complete your senior year.” Sharon explained. Sara was perfect, no one in town knew her, she worked too much and just transferred in less then a year ago.

Sara laughed. “ You can’t be serious.” she said.

“ I am serious.” Sharon said. “ We know something is going on but we have no proof, no proof, no case. You need to get that proof, becoming a student gives you an in. The principle is involved in some fishy stuff and maybe even some of the teachers.” she explained.

“ Why would being a student help?” Sara asked as she sat down at the kitchen table. This was her case now, she needed details and a plan. She hated the thought of being back in school, even if it was just for awhile. She hated high school the first time around, no, hate wasn’t a strong enough word.

“ I don’t know if you’ve heard but a couple of kids at the high school have died, not at the same time though. Something seemed funny and after some testing it seems all of them have some sort of drug in their systems. It seems to be the new hot drug on the streets but no one knows anything about it. We think their getting it from the school, the principle rises a red flag. He has the knowledge to make the drug as well as sell it. He’s connected to some major mafia families but again no proof of that, so nothing we can do.” Sharon explained as she read the file over on her desk.

“ So you want me to get proof, find out from some of the students what’s going on and investigate the principle and even the teachers may be dirty.” Sara said as she played it over in her head. So much of what she was told made no sense, she guessed her job was to fill in the holes. She groaned. “ When do I start?”

“ Tomorrow’s your first day.” Sharon said. “ And Sara?”

“ Yeah?”

“ Please try not to get kicked out.”
