The mystical creature and the mortal: the faery
A fairy dances across the sky as the music pulls her from her home. An ancient type of music calls to her to join in the dance of the mortals. But this was a mission from her fairy queen. The fairy queen needed to speak with the princess of the mortals because too many of the fairies were being shot down my mortals. No one knew whether it was on purpose or by accident.
As she lands, she is not welcomed and the circle closes in around her. Tears start to fill her eyes; she trusted these mortal humans. One mortal pushes all the others aside and speaks quietly to the tiny being.
“I come in peace, tiny one. I am Princess Aralana, princess of the darkness o the storms of Greater Crechan. Please, take this gift as an apology from my people to yours.” The young mortal woman took a flower from her long, dark hair and held out the dainty flower. The flower was crystal clear; the pink of the mortal woman’s fingers could be seen right through the flower.
“I think thee, Princess Aralana, but your people are not you. Unless my queen is given a gift from all your kind, I can do nothing nor spare nothing.” A tiny, high pitched voice came from the lovely little fairy. Ice blue eyes looked down at the tiny fairy from the princess’s face.
“So be it; there shall be no peace trade between our people. There is nothing my people may give to you, nor anything I may receive from your people.” With the princess’s harsh tone and cruel words, a war started.
The war between Greater Crechan and the fairy kingdom started. The war between the two lasted for many centuries.
As the years went by, tears were shed for many loved ones that were lost.
A few extra years passed and a beautiful baby was born into the kingdom of Greater Crechan. Her name was Princess Chepi. Chepi was Algonquin, a type of Native American, for Fairy, yet no one in Greater Crechan knew of this.
As the years passed, Chepi got older and more beautiful by the minute. On Chepi’s 15 birthday she woke early that day. The sun was slowly rising as Chepi was getting out of bed. She rushed out of her bedroom in her light green nightgown, her long dark brown hair flowing behind her. Her bare feet made a gentle slapping sound on the ground. A large smile slid across the young beauty’s light pink lips, exposing her perfectly white teeth.
Once outside, Chepi decided to run up the largest hill in her land. As she ran up the large hill, something flew across the sun. When Chepi looked up, to her surprise there was nothing there. Chepi shrugged, figuring it may have just been something inside of her young mind and imagination.
Chepi twirled around on that hill until she could twirl no longer. She fell, laughing, as she rolled down the large hill. But something halfway down stopped her. Chepi stopped and looked up and she felt her heart pause for a moment.
“Are you alright?” The sun was behind the person who’d stopped her rolling. She squinted, trying to make out the face.
“Yes, I am fine. I’m sorry if I got n your way.” Chepi sat up and the figure bent down to her. The figure’s right hand was offered for assistance and Chepi took it without hesitation.
Clouds started to move in front of the sun and the figure was starting to become more visible. Chepi was helped up by the figure. Clouds started to cover the sun more and more until a handsome face could be seen by Chepi. Chepi tilted her head to the side and she started to smile as she looked at the handsome face. As most of the sun was hidden and it tried it’s best to shine through the clouds, Chepi could make out the rest of the figure’s body.
The figure was a tall handsome young man with a light tan face and amazing deep emerald green eyes. The handsome young man had pout-like-lips that were a dark pink, almost red. He had high cheekbones which made this young gentleman even more attractive. Once the sun started to come out more, Chepi was startled to see that this young man was no mortal, but a fairy. The fairy must have had seen the fear in Chepi’s eyes for he laughed and then spoke his words kindly.
“Do not fear me, young beauty; I am here not to harm you. In fact, I am here to make peace.”
“Peace? Peace? There is no such word between our people, believe me, it has been tried,” Chepi shook her head and headed back up the hill, “You should leave, fairy. If a guard was to find you around me, you may be shot down.” It sounded almost as if Chepi would pity the creature if it was to be shot down.
The fairy rushed after her and grabbed her right hand with the princess’s right hand with his right hand. She turned around and she lifted her left hand to slap him across the face, but with his free hand, the fairy caught her hand and entwined his fingers with hers. Chepi’s blue eyes looked deeply into the fairy’s green eyes.
“You’re such a beauty. I do not see why my people hate your people with such feelings.” Chepi felt her heart rush and she smiled, showing her perfectly white teeth. “And what a lovely smile. Such pearls that rest in your mouth where your teeth should be.” Chepi looked away, blushing.
“You speak too kindly, fairy.” She slowly turned her head back to look at his.
“Then let our lips do the talking.” The fairy leaned in towards her. The mortal and the fairy’s eyes slowly closed as their lips met in a light kiss. Chepi pulled away.
“You kiss a lady of your enemy without even knowing her name or telling her your own name. Clearly you were not raised well, fairy.” Chepi giggled and the fairy kissed the back of Chepi’s hand.
“I am Prince Aranck, your worst nightmare.” The fairy prince smirked as he waited for Chepi to respond.
“I am Lady Chepi, princess of Greater Crechan,” Chepi slipped her hand from the fairy prince’s. “And if anyone were to be my worst enemy, I do not think it would be you, for I do not fear you.” Princess Aranck leaned in towards Chepi and they shared a sweet kiss again.
Chepi knew that if her family were to catch her kissing this amazing creature, they’d hang her.
Aranck as well knew that if any of the fairies from the fairy kingdom saw him, he’d be banned from his home. But this young woman, she was worth it. She was not only beautiful but spoke with her heart and soul, and he could feel it.
