A/N: Here it is, the moment you have all been waiting for with bated breath, the moment when you finally get to read...drumroll... Dear Abbycus’ responses!! Please, contain yourselves. LoL. Anyways, on with it, huh?

Dear Anonymous # 1,

Let me ask you, where are your brothers and father in all this? In this day and age, they’re the ones that are supposed to look after you, or didn’t you know that? Unless, of course, you’re married to your brother, an idea so preposterous that I deem it unworthy of any further mention. Your father’s brother, maybe. Anyways, my advice for you is this: talk to your father and brothers and arrange for them to talk to your husband about him talking to you. Something good will undoubtedly result. Good luck!

Dear Anonymous # 2,

Well, I hardly know where to begin. First of all, you seem unclear as to the true nature of your problem. Is it that you’re an alcoholic, or that you friends are being dragged down with you? To avoid any confusion, I have decided to address both issues. For the former, my suggestion is that you make a sacrifice to the god Dionysus as soon as possible. It is my opinion that he is afflicting you with this illness to repay you for ignoring or neglecting him. Based on others’ experience, I can tell you that he does tend to be rather vindictive, and holds tremendous grudges against those who shirk his worship. You don’t want a repeat of what happened in Thebes, do you? So, sacrifice to Dionysus and he will be appeased and you will be cured. This will also solve the problems with your friends, for you will no longer be a negative influence on them.

Dear Anonymous #3,

You seem like a highly driven individual. I would, however, encourage you not to overreach in your ambitions. That would make the gods jealous, and we all know what happens when the gods are jealous, don’t we? So branch out if you absolutely must, but I advise you not to go too far. In fact, I think it best to simply accept your station in life. Your fate, like that of all of us, rests in the hands of the gods, and you won’t be able to accomplish anything if it doesn’t suit their whims. You might try Delphi and see what happens there, but I wouldn’t bother.

Dear Anonymous #4,

My advice: get rid of her and send her back, shamed, to her parents. A woman of good character and one fit to be married does not behave in the way your wife has been doing. Also, I’d like to point out that you probably could have seen this coming. This type of thing is bound to happen when one marries above one’s station...

Dear Anonymous #5,

I recommend that you look to Apollo for guidance. As you should know, he also suffered a number of failed romances, yet is always stoic. Let him inspire you. Also, I suggest that you forget looking for love in a marriage, that would be asking too much. Instead, find a respectable wife for a respectable union, which should be easy judging by the prestige you seem to have. That is all we can really hope for. Afterwards, you can turn your attentions towards finding a good eromenos. I’m sure there will be many boys eager to have you as their erastes if you are a respectable citizen.
