"Apocalypse of the Humans"
by Damascus Ochre
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Words whispered
Talismans against the darkness
They can't protect you from the inevitable
Don't deny Death his only life
Because without him
You'll live in this hellhole forever
Watch your beautiful world
Torn to pieces by your own brothers and sisters
In their greedy rampage
Plunder the Earth's love for all he's worth
Suffocate the Wind's kindness with hatred and destruction
Set flame to all that can burn
Release the cold from their hearts without remorse
No pity for one's own neighbor, one's own brother
Hurting and killing
Killing, destroying
Until everything is gone.

Haha, wasn't very happy with humankind when I wrote this. Lately I'm not
very happy with humankind. What is there to be happy about?
Anyway, not as into this poem as I was when I wrote it. It's written in the
more fantastical way, which I haven't been into lately. Been liking the
more realistic tones of things... But that's just me. And it's prolly just
a phase. Like everything else. Whatever. ^-^;;
