We Remember. . .
Robert J. Wustman
We see a crystal blue lake
And we cherish your eyes,
We glimpse a bright flash of lightning
And we think of your smile.
A loud rumble of thunder
Tells of your laugh,
A tall weatherworn tree
Reminds us of your strong hands.
When we watch a baby sleep,
We know of your love,
And when a wave crashes on shore,
We wish for your hugs.
When rain falls in torrents,
We think of you too,
And in passing a farmer at work,
Our minds center on you.
We know you are happy now,
Yet still wish you were here,
To share our lives with us
And to dry all our tears.
But from Heaven today,
Please watch over us,
Help us and guide us
And let us swim in your love.
A/N This is about my Grandpa. He died when I was in first grade, seven
years ago, and amazingly, I miss him worse now than I did then.
