I never would have thought that
A little box of tissues
Could say so much
About a person's soul.

They're black, they're gold
But it's not the brand that matters
It's what's inside that counts
Really it's just the same with you.

They sit there, never changing,
Forget anything with a more sophisticated flair
These tissues are reliable, they're always, always there
Funney, they're almost as reliable as you.

If you cried, they'd always be there
To comfort you and wipe away your tears
They may not be Kleenex but they take care of you
Strange. They're always there for you like I am.

It's true, I suppose, you use those marvellous tissues
And do put them azside when they've served their use,
But I know you'll pick them up again next time at the I.G.A
I hope that you'll pick me up again like that one day.

I'm really just as reliable
As those simple tissues on your dash
I'm just as honest and as useful as they are,
I promise you.

So next time you're at the grocery store
In the tissue aisle
Spare a though for me because
I'll always be there for you just like those humble tissues.
