Ode to Tutti
By: Litt

Cold, trilling beauty-amazing to watch
Fitting me perfect, yet gracefully long.
Warm or anything under my touch;
Flowing, different and wrong.

Never thought of holding you
Until I knew your name.
Childish thing banished once I
Realized your identity, that we were the same.

Antithesis of opinion, but you
Push those back; we prove some right.
Ancient, one of the first, dedicated to the moon.
Dark or happy, my first sight.

They think you fragile, frail
Or hard to master, open, with your keys,
That by impaling your lungs
You won't or cannot breath.

But we sing and we dance
Higher than the rest.
My first cold love, Tutti.
Flutes are the best.
