So. We face a task.
(And a daunting one it is)
Yet tall we'll stand despite the fact
We face our imminent doom.
We'll try, we'll fail--at first, that is
But in the end we'll triumph? No.
I wish I wish oh so I wish
That I could tell you so.
But really there's no guarantee--
We'll fly, we'll fall but who knows whether
Crashing's at the end?
No this is life whoever said
Its easy told you wrong.
But don't despair! or so they say,
For I'll be here to aid you and
I won't forsake our partnership;
I'm loyal to the end.
So take my hand, no turning back,
No don't look back again.
For though we'll fall,
(Its certain now;
This Game's too hard to win),
You're not alone,
Your comrade's here;
I'm with you till the end.
And should I leave you, confidante,
Continue even then!
Camaraderie's the way we work;
You'll have another friend.
But lets not talk of coming days--
All focus on the goal.
And if we do not reach it? well,
The fighting's worth the fall.
So take my hand, no turning back,
No don't look back again.
We'll face this task together though
our work may be in vain.
