There once was a match named Meetch.
He loved to run, hop and teach.
Then along came a thimble,
'Twas a thimble quite nimble.
Young Meetch had a race with this thimble
But this thimble was far too nimble.
Aha! Thought Meetch,
Although this thimble is nimble, he is surely no match for my reach!
So these two: the Match and the Thimble,
Competed where the Thimble would not be so nimble.
Alas, for the Thimble had the Match beat,
For Meetch had met his defeat.
Doomed to be forever beaten by this thimble,
Meetch the Match had his heart in a shamble.
So this young match struck his head
Lighting a flame and was soon very dead.
