TearFall

Is laughing an evil? Is smiling a sin?
Is joy so scare? Is comfort so thin?
What cause for the gloom that rides in the air?
Are you all blind? Do you even care?

What cause for the glare? Why silence the song?
Without it, the journey shall be far to long.
What cause for the hatred? And what for the blow?
I am not a coward. I am not your foe.

Why are your eyes so grim and so cold?
Please, tell me - what's wrong with the truths I have told?
What has so changed since I was here last?
Oh, please, do not hate me - I can't change the past.

Whatever it is, come, for I am here.
Sob now on my shoulder, my sister, my dear.
And don't hoard the sorrow. It's time to let go
Or else it shall fester. Believe me, I know.
