Prologue: History

The year is 2003. It has been 598 years since the daemons and humans battled. No word of this battle can be found in history books, since it took place in Hell, and was a secret from the human race. Until it was over, anyway.

Both the Heaven and Hell sides suffered, and since then, a simmering hate has existed between the two. There was no proper outcome, except for one. A mirror world was created of Earth.

This world was named Orealisque.

No one knew how this world was created, but one day, it was just...there. Soon after the battle was over, a small population of daemons and humans moved there. The daemons claimed one side of the world, while the humans claimed the other. They each created their own towns, countries, villages...always making sure to keep away from each other. A portal lay between both Earth and Orealisque, allowing the new world to keep up with Earth’s modernization.

After awhile, the two worlds were nearly identical. They both shared languages, races, religions, even ways to Heaven and Hell. There were only a few differences. Orealisque was filled with magick, and daemons were recognized as an official race. The daemons on Earth had either moved to its sister world, or gone back to Hell, and magick didn’t exist the same way there as it did on Orealisque.

Eventually, a bridge was built between the entrances to both worlds. People commonly travelled between the two, and businesses were extended to the mirror-planet.

But the daemons and humans still despised each other.

There were the rare cases when a human and daemon would mate, but the pair were then usually shunned. Resentment was continuous between the two species, and nothing could stop it.
