All Alone

Once there were three friends,
And together they had grown,
'Till One and Two found their own fun
And left Three all alone.

Both took for granted Number Three
With problems of their own,
Never realizing how her heart
Was shattered, and turning stone.

Yet Three never raised a voice,
She never made it known,
That deep in her mind was the loud voice saying,
"Why am I alone?"

The light faded from her eyes
And with still no attention shown,
The voices were growing oh so louder in her head
With horrible screams and moans.

Yet in the din she found some tranquilty
Where the emptyness had grown
She sat in darkness on the floor
And pondered on her own

"This isn't so bad"
She said to herself with a bitter tone,
"'Cause it was when the others were at my side
That I felt the most alone."
