I am quiet, I am loud,

I’m shy, I’m proud.

I'm distant; I’m in your face,

I’m too slow for the moment; you can never catch my pace.

I have a smiling mouth; I have mad eyes

My mind is daggers for you, my voice chokes on lies

I look innocent, I am without shame

I never cry; I am never the same

I am furious, I am calm

I never get mad, I am a time bomb

I am alone in this world, I am surrounded

I am the first, I am grounded

I come up with the plots; I get out of them later

I hate noise, but quiet is a traitor

I am dark, I am morose

I love hugs, I hate getting close

I am your friend; I am your enemy

I am too smart; I’m as dumb as can be

I love the smell of a man, I can’t stand their kind

I have no desire, I am the most potent you’ll find

I am different from you, I am the same

I hate the crowd, I want fame

I lust for love, I push it away

I am determined, my patience tends to fray

I am alone in this world; I am one of a kind

I lust after bodies, I lust after a mind

I pick you apart, I shy away

I hate the dark, I rue the day

I am quiet; I am loud.

I am shy; I am proud

I am unusual, I am the norm

I am malleable, I can change form

I love life, I realize its flaws

I fear the uncertain, I fear without cause

I am brave, I am strong

I cannot—will not hold this act for long

I am a girl, I am me

I am who I am, I am free
