An attempt at romance. That is to say, I wrote down what I thought someone
should say to me.

At First Glimpse

Do you remember when I first saw you?
I tasted oranges, sweet upon your breath
Your eyes were flawless chasms of sky-blue
I fell within them, to the perfect death
And through those eyes, how your soul seemed to glow!
Your hair was purest gold beneath my hand
And with your voice, a gate opened to show
A true oasis in a barren land.
You loosed me of my chains, taught me to fly
All I could do was gaze upon your face
A sunrise brilliant in the morning sky
A star that shines from distant depths of space
And in that moment, all that I could see -
A glorious angel who made my fears flee.
