Wonderful You

 

 

We go through the bad times too often these days,

And you’re playing me like a child’s game,

You know you’ve got me hooked, and that I love you so,

But I don’t think you even remember my name.

 

You tell me you love me back, with all of your heart,

Why then, can you live doing this to me?

How can you handle giving me all this pain,

When all I want, is with you, to be?

 

You break my heart everyday, make my life so dark,

And you love so much to watch me crying,

You twist my words and make me feel as though I’ve done wrong,

With your temper, your hurtful words, and your lying.

 

My heart won’t stop bleeding and falling apart,

And my twinkling tears won’t just run dry,

You’ve hurt me so much, and for ever so long,

Now you can’t expect me to just walk on by.

 

You took my heart and you ripped it to shreds,

You took my everything and you lost it all,

You took my life and you tore it to pieces,

You tripped me up, and you left me to fall.

 

And you know? I just can’t cope anymore,

With all my dreams that will never come true,

Why should I dream about you becoming the greatest guy in the world?

When all you’ll ever be is wonderful you.
