Searching girl.
Lonely and forsaken girl,
Caught in the clutches of a too cruel world.
Struggling, fighting to break free
from the chains of harsh reality.
A heart marred with scars too deep to heal,
A soul waking from a dream to discover it wasn't real.
Eyes stinging from many shed tears,
Mind screaming with unvoiced fears.
Lost in a world where love is unknown,
Forced to face her life alone.
She yearns for affection, but finds none
As she searches, prays for her someone.
He surely must save her,
must find her there,
Trapped in abysmal pain and despair.
How often had she held him when she dreamed.
How real, how soothing his touch had seemed.
His haunting eyes, His melting tone,
The enveloping scent of his French cologne.
Each time she'd awaken from her dream,
Her heart would call him in a silent scream.
She would pray with her eyes on the moonlit sky,
Fighting against the urge to cry.
She wonders still where he could be,
The love she desires to set her free.
