Authors note: OMG! I am such a terrible person for not updating this in soooo long! But I’ve been super busy with school and such, and I really just ran out of creativity for this one! But here’s my apology…
Chapter 5!!
Kitty
Ellen
Chapter 5
Cat-knapped!
Ellen sat on the edge of the couch staring out the window waiting for Koji to come home from dealing things out with Kioshi, though he didn’t mention that to Ellen. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she watched a little bird hopping towards the end of a branch, then leaping off and taking flight. Her mind was wandering through the day before, and her escape, and the facility, she didn’t know what would happen next, she was sure it couldn’t be as simple as this, but her thoughts were soon interrupted by the repetitive ringing of the door bell which startled her to the point of tumbling off the couch. With a sincerely confused look on her face stood trying to figure out where the ringing was coming from when she heard a voice at the front door, and the ringing became banging.
“Koji! It’s me, So! Let me in!” She said sounding rather childish as she leaned into the door still banging on it.
Ellen threw the door open quickly hearing So and remembering the strange girl from the day before, leaving So to fall flat on her face as the door disappeared from in front of her.
“Ow!” She yelped sitting up and rubbing her head. “What’d you do that for Koji… oh… it’s kitty girl!” She said smiling impishly as she jumped up and stood in front of her, hands on her hips examining Ellen’s confused face. “So where is lover boy? Off trying to patch up his problems with miss-all-that-and-a-box-of-pocky or somewhere else?” She inquired nosily.
Ellen merely looked at her, head cocked to the left side and blinking. “All-that-and-a-a-box-of-pocky…” She muttered, confused.
“Did he go to see Kioshi?” She said plainly, noting her confusion and the deer-in-the-headlights look of innocence, despite her physical appearance.
“Oh!” She said, things now clicking for her. “Yes, that’s where Koji is!” She said feeling rather accomplished. “He said that he’d be back as soon as he could, and that he needed to talk to her!” She said smiling.
“Mm-hmm… so I see.” So-young said getting that ever present impish grin. “Well, Ellen, why don’t you come with me since you’re alone. I was going to go shopping a bit and I hate to go alone.” She said smiling still. “I could show you around a bit.”
“I don’t know… Koji said not to go anywhere…” Ellen said putting one finger to her lip and looking upwards.
“Well we’ll just leave him a note! We’ll probably be back before he gets home!” So-young encouraged, and eventually she had her talked into it.
Ellen slipped on her shoes and went outside with her, happy and assured now, a note taped to the door.
A fearful Koji stood on the front step of Kioshi’s apartment. ‘Well… here goes…’ He thought, cringing as he knocked. The door opened and two hazel eyes peered out at him in disgust. She slipped out and shut the door, her short brown hair all a flutter from the slam.
“Need to talk to me about something….” She said quietly as she slipped her coat on and began to walk, she’d work him, get him groveling, and then say she’d think about it that was her plan for when he came running back.
“Uh… yeh…” Koji said rubbing the back of his head guiltily.
She looked at him and crossed her arms huffily. “Well I’m listening. Be glad you’re getting that much from me.” She said turning her head to him barely acknowledging him but still signaling this was his time to speak.
“Right…” He said taking in a deep breath. “Well… I’m really sorry for what happened yesterday… Ellen is just a friend and she was out in the storm and she was cold and wet so I asked her to come in until the storm passed…” He said calmly, he had the whole speech made out I his mind, but Kioshi interrupted.
“So… you’re expecting me to say that everything’s ok and I understand and that I ought to give you another chance. Hmph. You’ll have to come up with more than that to get me back!” She said sounding a bit, well, cocky.
“Actually Kioshi… that’s not what I was going to say…” Koji said nervously.
“Oh and what were you going to do, come and tell me you’re sorry and maybe we ought to break up?” She said snarling a bit.
“Well… I wasn’t going to say it like that exactly…” He said cringing as if he were about to be hit.
“WHAT?!” She yelled looking more shocked than hurt.
“I was going to break it off…. before yesterday was even an issue I promise… I mean… we hardly talk anymore, and it seemed like it was just time to say goodbye…” He said sounding rather frightened of her.
Suddenly there was no sound. The silence in the air was so tense you could cut it with a knife. The click clack of her shoes made their way towards Koji, then a loud smack broke the tension as she slapped him across the face as hard as she could.
“You’ll regret that Koji.” She snapped before leaving in a huff.
So-young drug her through the streets of downtown Tokyo. The cars, the lights, the noise, it was all new and exciting to Ellen. She took her into a few stores and everywhere they went they got quite a few stares. After a few hours So-young took her to the park where Ellen had first run into Koji. As they walked down the path So-young turned to her, but it seemed something else had Ellen’s attention.
“Kitty-girl?” She said waving her hand in front of her face, yet Ellen’s eyes were locked somewhere else. “Hello?” Come to think of it, she realized that Ellen had been sort of absent-minded the whole time they’d been out. “Ellen? What’s wrong?!” She said loudly.
Ellen’s head jolted over to her direction. “Hm?” She said not realizing anything was amiss with herself or with So. “I’m sorry… I thought I saw something…” She said quietly. “It must have just been my imagination.” She said cocking her head to one side and smiling, but one of her ears was still twitching slightly.
“Ok…” So said a bit skeptically. “Well, I’ll be right back, you wait here. I gots to pee!” She said doing a bit of a gotta-pee-now dance then running off towards the porta potty at the other end of the park.
Ellen stood there, her face a bit blank. No smile creased her lips; no trace of a sadness or worry tainted her eyes she only stood, focused on seemingly nothing. One ear twitched, her nails slowly stretched into razor like claws and her nose sniffed at the air around her. Before she knew what had happened however, she felt a hand clasped over her mouth and the other wrap tightly around her waist. She swiftly reached up and ripped the mans flesh on the right shoulder in defense with her claws, but was overpowered and carried away out into the deep of the woods surrounding the park.
About five minutes later So-young came back, expecting Ellen to be standing there, but she was gone without a trace.
“Ellen?” She said looking around. “Kitty-girl?” She said now running about looking behind trees and in bushes. “Where are you Ellen?!” She said frantically, continuing to search the surrounding area.
After about five minutes she went back to the place where Ellen was supposed to wait and just stood frozen in a bit of a panic. ‘Oh crap… I lost Kitty-girl… Koji’s going to KILL me!’ She thought now running off towards the apartment. When she got there she saw a very distressed looking Koji with a rather large red hand mark across his cheek.
“Where is she?” Was all he said and it was rather monotone and cross.
“Uhm… well…” So said scratching the back of her head. “That’s a good question… I was kind of hoping she had come home without me…” She said with a nervous laugh.
“YOU LOST ELLEN?!” Koji yelled. “Where were you when you lat saw her. How long has she been gone? We have to find her!” He yelled.
So-young just stood still for a moment. “The old park… I went to the bathroom and she just disappeared when I got back…” She said looking like she was about to cry, though she didn’t.
Without a word Koji took off, So-young following close behind. ‘Why did I leave her alone? Who knows what kind of pervert’s got a hold of her!’ He thought as he ran to the park. “Where was the last place you saw her?” He asked So and she lead him to the place where she was supposed to wait.
“I told her to wait here ‘cause I had to pee and she was gone when I came back.” She said looking down again, and now noticing a few little red pecks on the cement. “Wait… what’s that…” She said bending down to look. “It… it looks like…”
Koji finished off bending down next to her. “Blood…” He said quietly not looking at her, but taking off into the woods yelling and calling for her. “ELLEN! Where are you?!” His mind wanted to think the worst, but he refused to believe she’d been killed, it could have just been where a kid fell and scraped it’s knee on the pavement and that’s what he’d believe.
“LET GO!” Ellen yelled trying again to reach back and claw at whoever it was that held her captive, but he now stopped running with her and grabbed her by the wrist and turned her.
Her eyes widened upon seeing him; a lean muscular body, dark curly hair, big green eyes, and two cheetah-like ears in the midst of his curls, this, was E-19. “Really E-11, it’s not very nice to scratch one of your own kind.”
Authors Note: Ok, so yeh… another cliffy, but I’ll try to update ASAP! I really will! I have no excuse other than a lack of inspiration because it is summer. So yeh, if the next few chapters are slightly dark or extremely happy go lucky, you’ll know what kind of inspiration I’m getting! LoL. But with this one, it’s almost impossible to get dark because Ellen’s just so cute-innocent-chibi-ish! Hehehe. So yeh, There’s your newest update, and remember… REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW!! XD
Edit: (I went back and re-did this chapter because it wouldn't let me use the little star's and such anymore, and it was a bit confusing with the scene transition.)
