You took me fast, you took me hard;
with charming grace you stole my heart.
And dashing, ever sure, you were
with not a thought to consequence.
And what a brilliant ride it was!
with thrilling nights and kisses that
would leave me breathless, ever seeking
yet another day alone...
...But when the fire's left to smoulder,
All I feel is loss!
A vaccuum, Ugly, it decends
in lonely hours, late at night.
And yet, the memories persist
to guard against my solitude.
--They've come to take me yet again
And Capture me in dreams...
And so I cannot help but feel
(though heartache never ceases),
that somehow it was not a waste,
that all my pain was worth it, as
again again I flew again
I flew with you and loved again!
And that is why I jumped at all,
although I knew I'd surely fall:
For having leapt and flown and loved
and loved you so, yes loved you hard,
I truly feel that flying love, is more than worth the fall.
