Ophelia's Time
She tenderly touches her face
To face with the reality that there is no place to escape to
Her there are no beginnings and no endings
Are for books and movies, not life
Takes you by the hand and pulls you
Don't know where to but you tag along
Comes the part where you aren't holding on any longer
Are the days and nights after that, like hers
Are tears of sorrow that threaten to fall
Once in life, and you rarely get up again
She's alone, in her pain
Heals but this doesn't seem to be regular
Feelings come and go but these tumble
Crushed and broken
Dreams are scattered all around the empty room
To breathe is needed to go on
Her mind is all the things she could have finished if she'd had the time
Is unlike reality, the one thing that is actually there
Is no place to escape the seconds and hours
Pass until she is gone
Are the days when life held her close
But not close enough to save her
