When you fall, no one can hear you scream.
But I can.

When the wind rushes through your open arms
And you shake with silent laughter,
I can finally see the sunlight, dancing
Through the tiny cracks in your armor.

Sometimes, when you’re happy,
Your emotions show me who you really are.

As a small sapling is bent
Under the weight of something too great and terrible,
You are pulled down by all the troubles in the world,
Mine and yours and everyone else’s.

When the golden chill of autumn
Exposes the secrets of a soundless interior,
I sit beneath the canopies, writing to you.

My love cannot dim with time
And even as the Third Day passes,
When you rise from the depths of your sorrow,
Each time is a chance at new life.

We help each other.

When I scream, only you can hear me,
And when you fall, I’ll pick you up again.
We will go places,
You and I.

Because a bond that does not fade with time
Is destined for greatness.
