The stimulation of the imagination

Men and great deeds are unheard of

            unthought-of

Without our boasting of these accomplishments

History is seen through our eyes, heard with our ears

            Spoken of with our words

We are the puppet masters

Without us they are names in the wind

Without us they are reform without a name

            A vision without comprehension

                        A Stonehenge

                                    A crop circle

                                                 An Old Man of the Mountain

Great men and great deeds

Are augmented on our terms

Don’t forget your needs

Don’t express your thanks

History is for the future

            But is often misused by the boastful
