Loneliness
The gentle splash on the floor;
time is almost up.
A gentle breeze stirs
the sand
that lies waiting below.
The fear that once was numbing the pain,
is tucked away, enraging fury
takes it's place.
The sorrow in my heart
melts away;
stone cold anger burns in my eyes.
That reflection in the water below,
is not what I'm used to seeing.
That continuous splash on the floor,
the tears burn my face.
What have I done to deserve this?
The pain, it kills,
why won't it disappear with
the fog that swirls around my feet.
A gentle breeze stirs,
the waves below;
inviting, so welcoming.
The sun is rising,
once again,
another day has sprung.
The waves,
so inviting,
leave only chilling fear
and loneliness.
