Could the moon make love to the sun? Because if so, what would be created?
Foolish.
Really! If the moon and the sun were to make love, what would they create? Stars, maybe? Lots of tiny stars.
Foolish still.
How so?
The moon and the sun could never make love.
Why?
Why?!
Yes. Why.
Why, because if they did, there would be nothing created--
Nothing! You assume that nothing would come from the moon and the sun’s lovemaking, two of the elements coming together to share in an act of finality and deep, spiritual meaning? Or do you mean to say the moon and sun would never come together to make love which, in my opinion, is a horribly sad way to look at it.
The moon and the sun could never make love, nor could they create anything of the sort.
And why not?
Because... foolish child... the moon and the sun are of different world, never to share a moment of happiness and indulgence and love together.
What about eclipses?
Soku... Foolish. Eclipses are made by the sun, the moon, and the earth. No lovemaking is done between the three, or you would know it.
Accepted. But suppose the moon and the sun did decide to make love, without anyone else’s consent. What then?
Well... I suppose if that were to happen... the earth would be sent into complete chaos.
But... But why?
They are different elements, foolish child, not meant to mix. And they would not create anything, no matter how passionate the love nor how desperate the moon and the sun may be. Because the different elements coming together cannot create, but only destroy. So it is written. Elements cannot clash or the universe will crumble beneath us. The sun and the moon are too different to ever be close. Let alone to make love.
