It shines like the morning sun
It gleams in the light
Turning it
Catching the beams
Running it along my skin
Drawing blood
Sending pain along my arm
Leaving unforgiving scars
Bringing tears to my eyes
The sharp edge goes deeper and deeper
Gleaming no longer
Covered in blood
My blood
Turning it so dull
Changing my life with each swipe
Who knows when it will be too much?
Who knows when it will take my life?
