Administer the truth, but only if it will dull the pain. Pass the poison; make me live again.
I'd feel numb, but I can't remember how. I'd breathe, if I could find the words. I'd scream, for you anything.
Bandage the lies, if it will stop the bleeding. Strap me to the gurney; stop being so greedy.
Your compassion is a bed of nails. Your piety a whipping post. Your love is a tourniquet. I can't take it anymore.
Wash away my memories--scars that'll never fade. You can't cover up my wounds with just one Band-Aid.
