What I'm Looking For
I sat down at my desk with a mug of coffee
Took a sip and wrinkled my nose
I don't like coffee, you see.
I went on the net, the spider's web
And I went searching for the answer to everything
But everything I found was all a bunch of lies
It seems no one knows what I'm looking for.
I kept searching for a while, and gave up hope
Ran one more search to try to find destiny
Ended up at a news site, and I looked
It had what I was looking for,
The everything and the nothing at all
And while I was looking I saw
A picture, an article, a sign of it all
A sign that maybe I was never crazy
Then I read it and I laughed
Apparently it was just a joke,
An article about someone gone insane.
I'm over it all now, but that doesn't mean
That I don't sometimes sit down with
That mug of coffee I hate to drink
And try to find what I'm looking for.
