Bells of Time
Author:
Weapon PM
I confess, this is WAY confusing, but I think it's quite worth reading.

Ringing bells,
Ringing bells.
Louder than
The pounding hails
-
Softly sings
Softly sings
All about
The simple things
-
White light
White light
What could
Ever be so bright?
Bringing on the morning flight:
O the witness to the bright, bright light.
-
Ringing bells
Ringing bells
Louder than
The pounding hails
-
Softly sings
Softly sings
All about
The simple things
-
Grey dawn
Grey dawn
No one there
To play the fawn
Only you,
To bear the dawn
-
Ringing bells,
Ringing bells.
Louder than
The pounding hails
-
Softly sings
Softly sings
All about
The simple things
-
Red day
Red day
Time again
To join the fray
And the losers. . .
Be it they.
-
Ringing bells,
Ringing bells.
Louder than
The pounding hails
-
Softly sings
Softly sings
All about
The simple things
-
Black eve
Black eve
For the fallen
Do not grieve
And the wounded do relieve
And the stolen do retrieve.
