Fade Away

Fading away.
She's nothing,
Just a wisp of what once was,
Like a long-lost memory.
The wind is blowing her away,
She's losing grip.
Lost inside,
...She can't breathe...
What's a laugh, a smile, warmth, love?
There's nothing there.
It's all gone to ice,
Now it's beginning to melt away.
It's all just meaningless.
Breakdown.
It won't come back.
You turn around.
Was there a noise?
A sob?
A strangled breath?
She watches.
You don't notice.
She shatters.
